“Vegas” begins airing every Tuesday on CBS beginning tonight. The Las Vegas media is stoked about this show (they’re stoked on everything), but judging from this trailer it seems more focused on a cowboy vs. a mobster then about the great city of Las Vegas.
The show is set in the early days of Las Vegas so I won’t be able to enjoy the inconsistencies of this show as I do in the NBC show “Las Vegas“.
I’m not expecting much from this show but I’ll go into the show open minded hoping for the best.

I gave it about 10 minutes. It’s a rip-off of A&E’s Longmire, which is a decent show but was their attempt to cash in on the success of FX’s Justified. And I still can’t buy Carrie Anne Moss as any character besides Trinity from the Matrix trilogy. The presence of her, Michael Chiklis and Dennis Quaid detract from the show b/c the whole time you’re going “whoa! That’s “.
Bottom line: If I want to watch a show about a hat-wearing lawman, I’ll wait for Justified to return to FX this winter.
That’s sad to hear and what I expected. Hopefully my opinion is better when I check it out.
