LAS VEGAS, NV (Dec. 2, 2020) – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is pleased to introduce Bāng Bar, an original concept from Momofuku and David Chang, to the Las Vegas market with the establishment’s newest location opening at Block 16 Urban Food Hall in Spring 2021. Bāng Bar’s menu focuses on delectable spit-roasted meats wrapped in freshly griddled bāng bread, bringing a bold, first-to-market culinary experience for guests to enjoy.
Bāng Bar will serve new and decidedly different take-out lunch and dinner options for guests of the resort. Since opening in New York in 2018, Bang Bar has focused on two delicious staples: bāng bread and spit-roasted meats. Korean for “bread,” bāng bread is a freshly made flatbread that is griddled to-order on a piping hot flat top and paired with roasted meats carved from vertical spits. In New York, menu favorites include The U Wrap, featuring bāng bread filled and rolled with a choice of spicy pork, chicken or spicy eggplant and the Rice Bowl, made with rice, pickles, cabbage and a choice of spicy pork, chicken or spicy eggplant. In addition to taking inspiration from Bang Bar’s previous location, Momofuku’s culinary team will work to create unique-to-Vegas menu items as well.
“The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas prides itself on having remained at the forefront of innovative dining trends and concepts for the past decade,” said The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas General Manager and Chief Strategy Officer, Patrick Nichols. “Block 16 is a first-to-market urban dining hall that features a carefully curated lineup of foodie-favorite culinary concepts from all over the country. We are thrilled to add David Chang’s Bāng Bar to the Block 16 lineup and welcome the iconic dining destination to Las Vegas.”
“We are grateful for the support of the local community over the past four years and we look forward to deepening our ties even further with Bāng Bar,” said Momofuku founder David Chang. “We are excited to open an additional Momofuku spot at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Bāng Bar is one of the craziest concepts we’ve come up with and I’m excited to offer our Las Vegas guests an accessible, on-the-go option.”
The installation of Bāng Bar speaks to the constant evolution of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ world-renowned Restaurant Collection. Bāng Bar joins the resort’s acclaimed culinary lineup inclusive of China Poblano, Jaleo and è by Josè Andrès, Eggslut by Chef Alvin Cailan, Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar, The Bromberg Brother’s Blue-Ribbon brasserie and David Chang’s first West Coast location of Momofuku. In Spring 2021, Bāng Bar will replace Pok Pok Wing on the North end of Block 16 Urban Food Hall, located on the second level of the Boulevard Tower.
