It’s Freezing In Las Vegas Today

I’m from New York City and I don’t have blood as thick as someone from Buffalo but I’m rarely cold. This morning I received a freeze warning on my iPad. This is Las Vegas and freeze warnings aren’t really normal. I worried that I may be getting weak when I went outside for the first time. I was cold. Then again, I was still in my sleepwear with no socks.

When I left my house this morning in my hoodie and shorts I wasn’t cold. However, the locals around me were all wearing winter gear as if there was a snow storm looming. It reminded me of this scene from Seinfeld.

It’s supposed to be in the 40’s if you plan to visit Vegas this weekend. It’s not a big deal if you’re casino hopping as long as it doesn’t get too windy. If you’ve never seen snow in Vegas, check out this pic from when I moved to Las Vegas two years ago. The roads were dry by lunch.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

I still prefer 40’s and windy in LV over the stifling hot summer months when walking and casino-hopping is hell!
I do remember visiting the Flamingo LV when I was a teen (198?) and eating at their buffet when we felt a strong gust of wind. It was so windy, one of the front windows of the casino blew in!

    As for the jacket:
ELAINE: ” You can’t even turn around in that thing.”

That episode had the best ending ever…

    ELAINE: Here, here’s your cake.

    GEORGE: And your wine.

    ELAINE: See ya’.

    JERRY: See ya’.

GG, I was in tears when I watched this the other day. I totally agree about chilly and windy to hot and awful. It was 22 when I woke up but it’s warming with the sun rising. I love it.

By the way, we are now getting your cold front here in Minnesota. We have another coming behind it next week. They are saying we will barely get above zero next tuesday. I am going out to get some Goretex….

GG, please enjoy. It will be in the 60’s by the weekend. It’s cold but it’s still better than the 120’s!
