Is It Fair To Consider Lagasse’s Stadium A Sportsbook?

I’ve been in the process of coming up with a list of the best sportsbooks in Las Vegas for the year but I’m torn on how to categorize Lagasse’s Stadium at The Palazzo. Lagasse’s Stadium is easily my favorite place to watch a game but it’s really not just a sportsbook.

Sportsbooks don’t charge minimums to watch games like Lagasse’s Stadium often does. Sportsbooks don’t have a reason to charge a minimum. They are there to entice wagers, not to feed people. On the other hand Lagasse’s Stadium is more of an awesome sports bar and restaurant with a betting window.

Now that The Palazzo has a walk up sports betting window on the main floor of the casino Lagasse’s Stadium feels even less like the official sportsbook of The Palazzo and more like an awesome place to be.

Lagasse’s Stadium is the best place to watch any sporting event and the minimums are fine because I usually hit them with a few drinks and snacks but the semantic person in me doesn’t think it’s fair to compare Lagasse’s Stadium with just an “normal” sportsbook.

Lagasse’s Stadium just has a different business plan than a traditional sportsbook. All of this goes to thinking that Lagasse’s Stadium may have to be retired as the best sportsbook in Vegas unless I hear a compelling reason not to retire it.

Coming soon: Best sportsbooks in Vegas. Here’s last year’s best sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

The issue I have is that it is a pain in arse to find, need more signage.
