Hooters, Golden Nugget and Terribles Get New

Terribles Hotel Room

Terribles – My only experience with Terribles is the gas station/casino/McDonalds/bowling lanes on the way to Laughlin. Terribles Casino is across the street from Hard Rock Casino and is renovating its hotel rooms and casino as I type this. Their sportsbook is run by William Hill so you can load your sports gaming app and wager from anywhere in Nevada. Rooms are starting at $25 and if the rooms and casino are clean this is a decent option within walking distance (or 2 minute cab ride) to the Vegas strip. For reference you should be able to get a new HRH room at the Hard Rock across the street for about $50 during weeknights.

Clean hotel options in Las Vegas are always a good thing and it’s nice to see that some of the older hotels and casinos are getting upgraded. In the past I would never recommend anyone stay at Terribles or Hooters but for a clean and cheap crash pad near the strip these will both be decent options.

  1. According to this week’s Five Hundy, the Hooter’s renovations were canceled. Might wanna check your sources on that.

Chris, see the update in the article mentioning that linking to their podcast. 🙂

When the Golden Nugget opened up the Rush Tower, they didn’t complete all of the floors of the tower. The fire in the Rush Tower last year was on one of the unoccupied floors. The new rooms in the Rush Tower do look quite nice, but what’s interesting is that they seem to be charging the same for the Gold Club rooms in the Rush Tower that they do for the Junior Corner Suites in the same tower.

Side note regarding the Golden Nugget’s new property in Biloxi. The Isle website is now like the regular GN websites and there are some different GN logos floating around on the site as well.
