This past weekend in Las Vegas was Caesars Great Gift Wrap Up. I received an invite to come last year to get some goodies, but I’m on the low end of big dawg so a flight out didn’t make sense as my gifts were small. I decided to stop by this year since I was in the neighborhood.
The website FAQ do a good job of explaining what the Great Gift Wrap Up is, but to keep it brief it’s basically Caesar’s rewarding their biggest players with more gifts – beyond what Total Rewards gives.
It’s pretty impressive to walk into a ballroom and see everything from TV’s to jewelry to vacation packages on display for people to “buy” with their points.
I was missing a couple of digits to afford this trip to the 2011 BCS national championship game, but it’s a sweet gift!
Overall, the rich get richer with the Great Gift Wrap Up, but it’s a cool way of Caesars to “reward” their biggest players. Of course, this is just another way to lure the gamblers back into the casino but I’m pretty sure most people understood that.
As for me, I got bored walking through the ballroom looking for something that my measly amount of points could get. I took a gambling voucher instead and turned it into $40 in cold hard cash! HIGH ROLLER!
