Press release: LAS VEGAS – South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa will be college basketball headquarters, beginning Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 21 to kick off the 2020 Men’s Basketball Tournament. Fans will “March to the Championship” at Las Vegas’ largest tournament watch party, with free admission.
South Point will serve as the best destination for college basketball fans as the march to the championship tips off. This year’s watch party will feature a 60,000 sq. ft. fan zone, doubling in size from previous years. The watch party will feature 20-foot projector screens, ensuring fans do not miss a moment of the nonstop action. As they watch their favorite teams in the country’s most anticipated tournament, guests can sip on discounted beverages, including $3 Budweiser products with buckets of six beers for $16 and Crown Royal shots for $3. In addition to the endless basketball action, the watch party will feature basketball hoops for fans to test their skills, cornhole and free 10-minute back massages to ease the stress of the last second action. Guests can take advantage of the on-site wagering stations, guests also have the option of downloading the Nevada Sports Book app, offering mobile betting and allowing guests to skip the line. Fans will be able to listen to their favorite team using the Listen EVERYWHERE app. The free app will allow guests to listen to clear play-by-play coverage in real time. Doors will open at 8 a.m. daily. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
Ahead of tip off, legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger will be hosting Betting, Brackets and Beers with Brent on Wednesday, March 18. Alongside renowned oddsmakers, Chris Andrews, Vinny Magliulo and Jimmy Vaccaro, the team will host a panel discussion on betting the tournament match-ups to help fill out the perfect bracket, plus how to bet player and team props and futures. Guests can sip on samples of VSiN’s signature beer, Bookmaker Blonde Ale. The event will be hosted inside the South Point Showroom and doors will open at 5 p.m., the event is free and open to the public.
