No, I’m not talking about my stay at Harrah’s last week. It’s official, Harrah’s is changing their corporate name to Caesars Entertainment Corp.
Harrah’s will continue to be one of the company’s brands, along with Caesars, Horseshoe, Total Rewards, and World Series of Poker.
On the surface, nothing will change but this does open up many possibilities of rebranding or selling some properties across the country.
It’s interesting that a company that had such little interest in their IPO would take on the expense (anywhere from $30-$100 million) of making a name change like this. At least the employees will get fancy new business cards before their jobs are cut to pay for the expense.
