Press release: LAS VEGAS (September 25, 2019) – The colorful, refined beauty of an autumnal Japanese garden comes to life inside ARIA Resort & Casino’s main lobby. Through the delicate art of origami, 13,800 paper maple leaves cascade from the lobby ceiling complemented below by folded flowers creating a subdued sense of seasonal elegance. The display carries over to the resort’s North Lobby where guests will encounter an additional 3,500 origami maple leaves.
ARIA’s Director of Special Events Stefanie Ishii, a fourth-generation Japanese American, drew inspiration from her grandmother’s traditional garden. Ishii’s memories of the striking, burgundy leaves of Japanese maple trees provided the focal point for this seasonal display.
