If you watch “Las Vegas” as often as I do you may have been startled when the show abruptly stopped airing on TNT midway through the fifth season a couple weeks ago. I need my fix of “Las Vegas” and I know you do to. After a little research i found that “Las Vegas” was not cancelled (again).
“Las Vegas” will return after Labor Day Weekend with only one episode per day instead of two and with a time change to 4am according to my TiVo guide it will start from the very first episode.
While this change probably is the beginning of the end for “Las Vegas” on TNT, the time doesn’t matter since I watch on DVR and I welcome less episodes a week so I can actually keep up with the show instead of deleting half of the episodes so I have room on my TiVo.
At some point I’ll probably end up buying the DVD’s, but as long as “Las Vegas” is on TNT I don’t feel the need. Here are links to buy “Las Vegas” on DVD by season on Amazon so you can prepare for its eventual free TV demise.

The LAS VEGAS TV show was an OK show, but it had nothing to do with the real Las Vegas experience. Marcil is attractive.
Exactly. I was telling someone today that it’s perfect for when I can’t fall asleep.
It’s so-so. The LV show I really liked was “Lucky” on FX with John Corbett (Aiden from Sex in the City).
Is that different than the “Lucky” on HBO about the horse racing? I’ve never heard of that guy or another show called “Lucky”, but I’m always looking. My Netflix is running over with Vegasy movies. (Side note: You just gave me an idea.)
I’m still waiting for someone to bring back ‘American Casino’, or at the very least “Vegas Stripped” (from South Point). The only thing Vegas-y I can look forward to is that Destination America (which used to be ‘discovery home’ and ‘planet green’) has some ‘vegas cheaters exposed’ in the pipeline. I think one drops on 9/3 or 9/4.
AMERICAN CASINO best vegas show ever. I wish it was on DVD
Not sure I’ve seen “American Casino”.

The show “Lucky” was on FX. It was a great show and worth getting if it’s available on Netflix or somewhere else. Very gritty and sometimes funny. It’s not the HBO show.
From Wikipedia:
Lucky is an American dark comedy television series which ran for one season on FX Networks in 2003. The show starred John Corbett as Michael “Lucky” Linkletter, a professional poker player and gambling addict. The series was created by Robb Cullen and Mark Cullen. It was nominated for the 2003 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.
Dark comedy about gambling is right up my alley. I’ll see where it’s around. 🙂
